John graduated from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia in 1995, then spent six years overseas working for several multi-national companies including Hyundai, Shell and OM Group (operator of the Swedish stock exchange) before coming to New Zealand with his wife Carolyn in 2001. John worked initially for Westpac and Perpetual Trust before joining Financial Strategies in 2004.</p> <p>Outside of work John is a keen sportsman, enjoying running, swimming and biking, along with spending time with his wife and three children. John volunteered his time and skills for 10 years to a Christchurch based charitable organisation.</p> <h3>Hayden Gardner</h3> <p>Hayden joined Financial Strategies (ChCh) as a Financial Adviser in June 2017 and has worked in the financial services industry since 2013.</p> <p>Hayden has progressed to be a Senior Adviser who advises clients on all aspects of investments and financial planning. He enjoys building long term relationships with clients, helping them to succeed in achieving their long term investment goals.</p> <p>Hayden started his career as a NZ army officer and served for 11 years. Hayden has a Bachelor of Commerce and Management from Lincoln University.</p> <p>Outside of work Hayden enjoys spending time with family, evangelism, tramping, and travel.</p> </div> <div class="large-6 medium-6 columns"> <h3>Claudia Williams</h3> <p>Claudia joined the team as an assistant to the senior advisers in early 2018 having completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Otago in 2016 and a Master's degree at the University of Canterbury in 2018. Claudia has progressed to being a fully qualified financial adviser and provides invaluable advice to our clients.</p> <p>In her spare time Claudia enjoys keeping active through walking, the gym and social sport. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family. One of her passions is overseas travel and particularly enjoys traveling throughout Southeast Asia.</p> <h3>Bonnie May</h3> <p>Bonnie has been with the company since 2020. Bonnie's role has expanded over the last four years where she is now an integral part of the administration team.</p> <p>Bonnie used to work as a document specialist for small businesses looking to grow into franchise models before joining Financial Strategies. Bonnie has a certificate in Small Business Management which blends well with her practical administrative experience.</p> <p>Aside from her work, Bonnie is happily married and a proud mother to their two children. She likes to spend time with them helping with their many activities along with family fishing trips and traveling around NZ.
